WiseTech Acquires E2open on May 26, 2025

WiseTech Global an Australian logistics software giant, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire U.S.-based cloud supply chain management firm E2open in an all-cash transaction valued at $2.1 billion. The offer of $3.30 per share represents a 28% premium over E2open’s closing stock price on May 23, 2025.

Founded in 2000, E2open operates in over 20 countries and connects more than 500,000 partners across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution networks, enabling over 18 billion transactions annually. Its platform offers data-driven, automated solutions that help businesses optimize supply chains, reduce costs, and enhance resilience.

E2open CEO Andrew Appel stated that the company’s board, following a comprehensive strategic review with Rothschild & Co, believes the WiseTech deal maximizes shareholder value and positions the company for long-term success. “Together, we will be able to offer a leading end-to-end platform for the world’s most complex supply chains,” Appel said.

WiseTech’s founder and chief innovation officer, Richard White, emphasized that the acquisition aligns with their strategic goal to become the “operating system for global trade and logistics.” He noted that integrating E2open’s products and expertise would accelerate WiseTech’s product development, enhance ecosystem capabilities, and create a multi-sided marketplace for logistics and trade.

This WiseTech Acquires E2open deal also supports their focus on product development, logistics industry mergers, and cloud computing acquisition strategies. Pending regulatory approval and standard closing conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025. Until then, both companies will operate independently. Upon completion, E2open’s common stock will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.
